Google is in huge pressure under the Galaxy brand’s
increasing popularity. Samsung is taking Google to the world, where Droid will
be back-bencher & Samsung leading the smartphone industry in all flavour.
A bit confused? Galaxy is using Google’s OS Android, then
how can Google feel steam with Galaxy’s popularity? Is it not increasing
Google’s value alongwith? Seems so. But the power of authority says another
word. Let me explain this…
Galaxy brand is a boom in the smartphone market. It not only
outranked Apple iphones from the top in
market-share, but almost grab the majority of Android devices. In 2012, Samsung
alone hold 42% of the whole Android market. And with Galaxy S4 knocking at the
door, the percentage may cross half-stage mark within 3rd quarter of
2013. This unthinkable success gives Samsung the power of authority to bid
Google for it.
Google was launched with the theme of egalitarian. But the
number has forced to concentrate on Samsung , and the license to go wild with
the OS. So far, Google has maintained control over device-maker by holding its
own closed-source Google apps hostage. But when a single brand takes over the
majority of a platform, I doubt Samsung can take part in Android’s vision and
decision making processes. The Galaxy brand has overtaken the droid band.
Samsung is crushing other Android OEMs, and Google has no other option but to
wait & watch it.
Now the final question comes, can Google make a way out to
keep it’s ultimate authority over Android. Or Samsung has proven its worth to
take part in Android’s core decision? Let’s see what Google does to keep
Android as its sole part…
